Medical Imaging for Your Pet’s Health

Small dog in animal hospitalOur hospital strives to provide your pet with the best possible care which is why we offer medical imaging services for cats, dogs, and exotic pets. These tools help our veterinarians gain valuable information about your pet’s organs, bones, or tissues that may not be visible during a physical examination. During each procedure your pet’s safety and comfort are our highest priority.

Our veterinary team is highly trained and experienced in completing the following imaging procedures:

Radiology—Otherwise known as x-rays, digital radiology creates high-definition images of your pet’s organs, bones, and tissues. These images can be used to diagnose a variety of illnesses or injuries including:

  • Arthritis
  • Bladder stones
  • Broken bones
  • Heart or lung disease
  • Kidney stones
  • Ligament tears
  • Spinal cord disease
  • Tissue problems

At the The Animal Hospital on Mt. Lookout Square we offer digital x-rays. These types of x-rays are safer for your pet as they use less radiation than traditional methods. They also can be easily shared with you, as well as other veterinarians or specialists, as needed.

X-ray plate of catEndoscopy—Minimally invasive and relatively painless, endoscopy allows veterinarians to view internal structures such as the esophagus or stomach, without performing surgery. This procedure involves the use of a fiberoptic scope that contains a small yet powerful camera. This scope is inserted through your pet’s mouth and provides high-definition images or video of your pet’s internal organs and tissues.

We aim to provide your pet with the very best care. Contact us today to learn more about our diagnostic services or to schedule an appointment.
